Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Mani Ratnam has collaborated on various projects in different capacity, such as Nayakan, PS franchise, and Kadal to name some.
As the filmmaker clocks his 66th birthday today, actor Kamal took to his social media and dug out an old picture and wrote, “If one were to count life by the happiness that they create around them and if age is calculated by the friends around you, my dear #ManiRatnam you are going to be a much older man today! A doyen of Indian Cinema who has touched the hearts of millions through his art and one who transformed dialogues into a lovely visual experience.”

On the work front, Kamal Haasan was last seen in Vikram, currently he is busy wrapping the Indian 2, written and directed by Shankar. A sequel to the 1996 film Indian, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, with Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar.
