Platonic follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching their midlife (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne) who reconnect after a long rift, hoping to get past that rift that led to their falling out. The duo's friendship becomes all consuming—and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.
Rose is married with kids, finds herself living the college life filled with parties, drugs and being young once again, while Seth, on a downhill ride of marriage, rekindles his zest for life, but all that comes with a cost.
