Chandramukhi 2 is a prequel to 2005 release Chanramukhi, which starred superstar Rajanikanth and Jyothika Saravanan.
In 'Chandramukhi 2', Kangana will be seen playing the role of a renowned dancer in the king's court who's known for her breath-taking beauty.
Backed by Lyca productions, the director of the first film, P Vasu, will return to helm the sequel which also brings back actor-comedian Vadivelu in a key role.
Meanwhile, Kangana also has 'Tejas' in which she essays the role of an Indian Air Force pilot, 'Emergency' and 'Noti Binodini' in the pipeline.
