Working With Sharmila Tagore Is A Matter Of Pride Says Manoj Bajpayee

Mumbai, 23rd Feb 2023 (NewsHelpline) – Versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee, who will be seen sharing screen space with veteran Sharmila Tagore in forthcoming Gulmohar, says working with legendary actress is a matter of pride. 

 

Manoj Bajpayee was interacting with Newshelpline on the sidelines of Gulmohar’s special screening in Mumbai. 

 

When asked about the film and working with Sharmila Tagore in her comeback movie, Manoj said, “Back in the days, Indian families were tight, and world talked about the love and connect between Indian family members, but now, combined families are turning into nuclear families, and everyone is just lost in their own corner within the house itself, and this film is based on that idea”

 

“Sharmila Tagore is playing my mother in the film, she is making a comeback with this film, and working with her was a pleasant experience and a matter of pride” added Manoj. 

 

Further adding, Manoj said Gulmohar is a movie which goes beyond the realm of good or bad, it’s the story of everyone in current world. 

 

He said, “As an actor, we do a lot of movies, some are good, some are super good, and some are not so good, but Gulmohar is one such film, we felt proud after making it, because the film talks about importance of family, the kind of family which his disappearing from our society, the film is about the down-fall of family, so audience will cry and laugh, and more important, relate with it as this is everyone’s story” 

 

Directed by Rahul V. Chittella and written by Arpita Mukherjee and Chittella, the film stars Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee, Suraj Sharma, Simran, Amol Palekar and more. It will be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on March 3.
