Mefcom Capital - a BSE listed company is about to take over 51% of stakes in Friday To Friday Entertainers and Media Private Limited, which is Zeishan Quadri and Priyanka Bassi's venture.
All the IP's Zeishan holds will now be owned by Mefcom at a 51% stake and 49% by Friday to Friday. This is being done to raise funds in order to back bigger projects which have been greenlit by major studios that will be announced soon.
Zeishan who is a renowned name in the Hindi film industry is known for his writing, direction, acting and more. He is planning to create content which he will back and would vary from series, movies and more.
The stellar writer and producer, Zeishan has bankrolled and penned hits such as Meeruthiya Gangsters, which is cult classic among fans. He has also penned and produced movies such as Halahal and Bhoot Purva, and his outstanding contribution in films like 'Challang' and 'Bacchan Pandey'.
Friday to Friday has an elaborate slate of films and series rolling out. On February 23 they are going on floors with a film titled '21 days' written by Zeishan and being produced and directed by him under the same banner in Meerut. This will be followed by the production of their webseries titled " Code Kakori, which is being adapted from a book and being made into a massive series in terms of scale and cast. Other than these, Friday to Friday also has a slate of acquisitions under way at various stages.
Zeishan has also penned and acted in Gangs of Wasseypur, which was helmed by Anurag Kashyap. The film is still popular among fans for his well-written character and story arch. As an actor he was last seen in a prominent role in 'Your Honour" a series on Sony Liv.
