Global 11 November, 2022: ZEE5 Global, the world's largest streaming platform for South Asian content, adds another feather to its cap with its pathbreaking show The Broken News, being awarded the Best foreign- language OTT Production at the 12th edition of the iconic BroadcastPro ME Summit & Awards. One of the most streamed original series of 2022 , The Broken News on ZEE5 Global, was recognized for its pioneering story of two conflicting sides of journalism.
The show that marked celebrated actor Sonali Bendre’s return to the screen and her OTT debut clocked 100Mn+ streaming minutes and 6Mn+ views within a week of its release as it immersed the viewers in the behind-the-scenes workings of a newsroom. Additionally, it also addressed some of the most pressing issues and realities of operating a newsroom in the world's largest democracy.
