“I had a breakdown”, reveals Vikram Vedha Actress Yogita Bihani on preparing for her character ‘Chanda’

Being appreciated for her strong presence on screen in her big Bollywood debut film Vikram Vedha, Yogita Bihani shares that she broke down before she flew to shoot for the film. The actress reveals how it wasn’t a cake walk to transform herself into ‘Chanda’. Right from learning a new dialect to getting the mannerism of the same right, Yogita Bihani displays her unconditional dedication to get into the skin of the character.

Making a transition from television to Silver screens with her big bollywood debut, the actress has been receiving immense love and appreciation for her impactful performance as Chanda in the film. Sharing her journey on what all went into becoming Chanda, Yogita shared a BTS video on her social media handle.

Giving a glimpse into the number of takes and amount of effort that has gone into becoming Chanda, Yogita writes, “It may look like fun and games but the true story is few days before I was supposed to fly to shoot for VIkram Vedha, I had a breakdown. This was the first time I had to pick up a new accent and deliver my lines. How do I stay true to my emotion or be in the moment when I am only thinking about how to say the lines RIGHT with the CORRECT accent. I told myself I wouldn’t be able to pull this off.
But then I didn’t come this far to only come this far, right?! ✨🤙🏻
Started watching videos & movies which had the appropriate accent. Anybody and everybody who said they were from Lucknow I would just sit with them and chat for hours. Be it a friend, neighbour, my makeup team or an uber driver. Now I was having fun with the language rather than fearing the language.
