Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the festivals that is celebrated with the utmost pomp and fervour in Maharashtra. Actor Jaineeraj Rajpurohit, who was recently in buzz for replacing Shailesh Lodha in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, talks about his plans to celebrate Ganesh Mahotsav.
Talking about the festival, Jaineeraj says, "Ganesh Utsav is a festival where everyone comes together for a humongous celebration. Bappa has always been my favourite and I am a huge devotee of him. This year, I am not bringing Ganpati Ji home, but I'll be visiting a few pandals and I have a few friends who keep Ganpati, so I'll go to their places and enjoy the festivities along with music, dance, pooja and lots of calories,"
Sharing what Ganpati means to him, Jaineeraj says, "I believe in Ganpati a lot. I feel his presence and when I talk to him, I sense someone is listening. I believe in his power and strength, so whenever I start something new in my life, I recite, 'Ganpati Bappa Morya.' So, I can say my work is incomplete without his blessings."
Jaineeraj Rajpurohit has been part of shows like Balika Vadhu, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Miley Jab Hum Tum. He has in fact made his presence on the Bollywood screen in the movies Oh My God and Outsourced.
