Hong Kong cricketers' "Kala Chashma" celebration continues to trend even 5 days after win over UAE

Mumbai, Aug 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) Punjabi number "Kala Chashma" seems to have become a hit with cricketers, with the Hong Kong team too recently seen grooving to its racy beats following their victory over hosts UAE in the Asia Cup qualifier last week.

The Hong Kong cricket team, made up mostly of expatriates from Pakistan including their skipper Nizakat Khan, defeated favourites UAE by eight wickets on August 24 at Al Amerat in Oman to secure a spot alongside India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in the Asia Cup currently underway in Dubai and Sharjah.

Following the win, achieved mainly due to quick-fire half-century from opener Yasim Murtaza, Hong Kong players danced to the tune of the Punjabi song in their dressing room wearing dark sunglasses. The video has since gone viral, getting thousands of likes on Instagram.

Hong Kong will take on India in their Group A match in the Asia Cup at the Dubai International Stadium on August 31 with the team playing Pakistan on September 2 at Sharjah.

However, it's their celebration, Punjabi-style, which has given the team's popularity a massive boost, with netizens congratulating them and saying "aap log toh popular hog aye" (you guys have become popular).

Another fan wrote, "Copy of Indian team", alluding to the Indian team dancing to the tune of the popular Bollywood song following their 3-0 triumph against Zimbabwe in the recently-concluded One-day International series.
