Sambhal (UP), July 6 (SocialNews.XYZ) A 14-year-old girl was shot dead on Wednesday morning in Rajpura area while she was asleep.
Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra said that Bhavana was sleeping in the lawn of her house in Raniganj village when the bullets were pumped into her by unidentified persons.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, he said.
The police said that no immediate motive behind the crime could be seen but investigations were being held from all angles.
Family members are being questioned and also her friends.
The SP said that the accused would be identified and arrested soon.
