Helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was last theatrically 3rd June, and the film fared extremely well given the limited release it got and now it is headed for its OTT release.
Sharing the confirmation on the release, the official handle of Netflix India wrote, “The untold story of a son. The untold story of a father. The untold story of a SOLDIER. Major is coming to Netflix on 3rd July in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam! #MajorOnNetflix @adivisesh @urstrulymahesh @saieemmanjrekar @sobhitad”
Actor Adivi Sesh plays the title character, writing the story and screenplay in addition. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Murali Sharma and Anish Kuruvilla.
