Sanjay Suri was interacting with NewsHelpline during a press-meet for SonyLIV’s new series Avrodh Season 2.
Talking about his role and his journey, Sanjay Suri said, “I got more to play as an actor in Avrodh, I’d done negative characters before but this one sort of took me out of my comfort zone and capture the darkness and imagination of a negative mind, and the way he sort of justifies his mission. And when a negative mind sets his justification right, he becomes very dangerous”
Avrodh is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book India’s Most Fearless. The second season of Avrodh is inspired by the ninth chapter of the book India’s Most Fearless.
Further adding, “Mostly I’d done positive roles, so when I was approached with such a dark and negative role, I was really very happy that someone wrote something different for me. We had discussion and finally bought the character in front of the camera. And it is an actor’s job to give physical manifestation to vision of the makers” said Sanjay.
The new season stars Abir Chatterjee, Anant Mahadevan, Krishna Hebbale, Mohan Agashe, Neeraj Kabi, Rajesh Khattar, Aahana Kumra, and Vijay Krishnan.
The series is written by Brijesh Jayrajan and Sudeep Nigam and directed by Raj Acharya. It is produced by Applause Entertainment in cooperation with Juggernaut Productions. The second season will be released on June 24 on SonyLIV.
