Helmed by Sabbir Khan, the film revolves around Abhimanyu Dassani, who is a middle-class lazy over-grown college student, he doesn’t like anything except having fun with life and chilling.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Samir Soni plays the role of Dassani’s parents, who are at their wits end with their son’s shenanigans. But things takes an ugly turn when Shilpa ends up picking a fight with local goon, Abhimanyu Singh. It doesn’t take much time before Dassani to find his inner hero and takes the fight to goon’s door step. The action packed trailer is fun to watch!
Nikamma marks the comeback of Shilpa Shetty into films after a sabbatical of 14 years and debut for Shirley Setia. The trailer comes loaded with reprised version of hit Nikamma song.
The film is bankrolled by Shabbir Khan Films and Sony Pictures India. Initially scheduled for a June 2020 release, it was indefinitely postponed due to production halt and theatres shutdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic. It is scheduled to be released on 17 June 2022.
