Sai Tamhankar was interacting with NewsHelpline during a press-meet for the series, Pet Puran.
Talking about the new idea of series revolving around pets and their parents, Sai said, “There is almost no content on pets, and this is the first time we’re bringing something like this for the audience, it is going to be very fresh and unique, and I think every pet-parent, pet-lover, and people who are in relationship, will be able to relate to this show”
Pet Puraan talks about the mindset of new-age working couples who don't wish to have children, priorities, and their respective families, who have a more traditional approach towards what completes a family.
Sai also talked about overcoming her fear of cats for the show and praising her co-stars, who happens to be four-legged furry ball named Buddy.
She added, “This is true, I was afraid to cats, but now I am a cat lover, I might have cat, when I have a house. We did our workshops with the pets, as the entire shoot was with the pets, it was necessary for us to build a relationship and friendship with them, and the entire shoot and workshop was a memorable experience. Our dog Buddy, he is friendly and calm, and working with him felt like working with a talented kid”
The OTT series stars Sai Tamhankar as Anjali and Lalit Prabhakar as Atul. It is created and written by director Dnyanesh Zoting. The series will stream in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali languages.
Sai also shared a sneak-peek into her forthcoming projects as well, “India Lockdown with Madhur Bhandarkar, Bhakshak with Pulkit which is bankrolled by Red Chilies Entertainments, and couple of Marathi movies and web-series”.
