International Art Machine is backed by former Amazon Studios president Roy Price who resigned from his position in 2017 and joined as CEO of the new company.
Roy Price took to his social media profile and announced the project. He tweeted, “Excited to announce the world class team on the Shiva trilogy TV series @authoramish @shekharkapur and @Suparn. Looking forward to bringing this best of all Indian novels to screen in the best way and helping the world toward its multipolar cultural future”
Author Amish also expressed his excitement for the series, he shared, “Excited to share this announcement with all of you! Can’t think of a better team than @shekharkapur @royprice_public and @suparnverma to bring the Shiva Trilogy and the world of Meluha on to an OTT platform”
The series adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s bestselling Shiva Trilogy novels set in the land of Meluha, beginning with the first book “The Immortals of Meluha,” which will be directed by Shekhar Kapur, with Suparn S. Varma serving as showrunner and will also direct.
The Shiva trilogy will be followed by thriller “The Kitty Party” created by Bollywood star Preity G. Zinta, which is a female driven murder mystery that moonlights between being a dramedy and thriller.
Art Machine has also lined-up political drama “Gods” from acclaimed director Dibakar Banerjee.
