Director Mozez Singh's web show Human was released, and it is still being appreciated by the audience. The web series featured Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari in lead roles.
Mozez's Human is based on the human drug trials that happen in the field of medicine across the globe. Talking to NewsHelpline, he said, “The idea of Human drug trail came from Vipul Shah, he had the idea for a film which he wanted to me direct, but I had other plans, I saw something different in it, so I developed it in something else and created a series. I developed the entire world, characters, and space for the series’”
“Human is not exaggerated, or fictionalized, it is as real as it can get. Perhaps the story might be fictional and set in a fictional space, but the facts about human drug trails, corporate greed, hospital politics are real and true. We have researched it and wrote it, it is all factual and real” added Mozez.
Interestingly. Mozez Singh hails from pharmaceutical background, his grandfather was the founder and chairman of Ranbaxy. “My Grandfather was founder and chairman of Ranbaxy, so I grew up around pharma-industry, I am not primarily interested in it, I am a filmmaker, but I’d always been aware about it”
Despite being from pharma background, Mozez researched the subject before putting it on-screen. He said, “Research is a very big part of my process, I might be telling a fictional story, but it must be rooted in some logic and reality, and from there I create the world of fiction. I enjoy researching, and then writing and directing it. I researched human series and incorporated her every fact and figure I could lay my hands on”
Mozez Singh is currently discussing Human series second season. “It is all too early to talk about, we’re discussing it and you’ll know soon enough”.
Human explores the underbelly of human drug testing and the world of medical scams. The ten-episode series is available on Disney plus Hotstar.
