Makar Sankranti day is considered as the transition day of Sun into the Capricorn or Makara rashi. The days is observed with social festivities such as colourful decorations, children going house to house, singing and asking for treats, dance, kite flying, bonfires and feasts.

Prithviraj is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is based on life of Prithviraj Chauhan a Rajput ruler from the Chahamana dynasty. It features Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan, while Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut by playing her role Sanyogita.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari in other important characters.
