The film features Yash as Rocky, in the lead role, while debutante Ramachandra Raju features as Garuda. Anant Nag narrates the film, while Srinidhi Shetty, Vasishta N. Simha, Achyuth Kumar, and Malavika Avinash appear in supporting roles.
The film was shot in Kannada on a budget of 80 crore, making it the most expensive Kannada-language film at its time of release and the movie created history amassing close to 300 crore and become worldwide phenomenal hit.

In the teaser, the filmmaker is seen saying that first part was only 50 precent of the film and second instalment will be bigger. Whereas Yash, expressed his disappointment over leak of the teaser.
KGF Chapter 2 comes loaded with new cast and old, new addition is Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj and Ranveena Tandon. The teaser is sitting pretty with 231 million hits.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2022 in Kannada along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
