The Kashmir Files is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri starring Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher. The film tells the story of exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.

After the success of The Tashkent Files, this is second instalment from Vivek Agnihotri addressing one of the most controversial time in Indian history, when genocide of Kashmiri Hindus in 1990 took place.
The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi,
Chinmay Mandlekar, Puneet Issar, Prakash Belawadi and Bhasha Sumbli.
Agnihotri removed actor Yograj Singh from the film after his speech against Hindus at farmer's protest and brought in Puneet Issar as replacement. The film will be release theatrically worldwide on 26 January 2022, coinciding with India's Republic Day.
