It was a double whammy for all Tennis lovers and enthusiasts to see Tennis Legend Leander Paes and Tennis icon Sania Mirza along with Aditi Rao Hydari, Divya Khosla Kumar, Vishal Bharadwaj, Kim Sharma and Sonali Bendre graced the Tennis Premier League’s (TPL) third season.
Talking about the premiere league and reaching out to all the sports people effected during pandemic, Leander said, “I am super excited that Tennis Premiere League is happening after 2 years of not many people playing in stadiums or people playing in bubbles due to lockdown. The pandemic has changed the way of sports. Needless to say that Covid-19 has affected everyone, and I would like to reach out to every family, athlete and teams which has been affected by covid-19”
“As far as opening of the Tennis Premiere League goes, I am so happy that the guys have done a great job for not only bringing all the great players of India, (past, present and future player) but also make an international event just as promised before the lockdown. We all have gotten through this rough time of covid pandemic, it is wonderful to see a lot of my friends back” added Leander.
All the owners of their respective teams Punit Balan, Kapil Jhaveri, Sonal Alaghiya, Sneh Patel, Ramku Patgir and Shyam Patel were happy to kickstart yet another successful season of TPL.
