Sharmila Tagore made her Bollywood debut with Kashmir Ki Kali in 1964, after being introduced by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray in the Bengali film Apur Sansar in 1959.
She is known for her work in Aradhana, Chupke Chupke, and Amar Prem. In 1969, Sharmila Tagore married iconic cricketer and the Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
