Actor Tusshar Kapoor says he is proud of the fact that her sister Ekta Kapoor is honoured with the Padma Shri, and it has been long overdue.
Ekta was felicitated with Padam Shri for her contribution in the field of television, films and digital content. She was accompanied by her father and veteran star Jeetendra for the prestigious ceremony.
During her recent interaction with Newshelpline on the side line of Auto-Expo in Mumbai, we asked Tusshar Kapoor about Ekta Kapoor’s recent award win.
He said, “I think it was announced earlier, but due to lockdown the event couldn’t take place, only now they had the event. Very proud moment for us, it has been long overdue as Ekta has done so much for Television, film, and OTT, so it is a well-deserved award. At the end of the day, awards are good, but after a point you must be happy with your work, whether you get an award or not, I am sure Ekta believes in herself and hard work, and an award is a good recognition for that”
Tusshar Kapoor is an avid fan of SUV’s but believes that the electric cars are the future.
He added, “I am more of SUV person. All the cars out here are good. It is a great expo. Electric cars are the future. We must reduce carbon emission, which is destroying out climate. In November we are dealing with rains and hot temperature, it is all because of climate change and we need to sustain it”
On the work front, Tusshar Kapoor will next be seen in Maarrich along with Naseeruddin Shah and Anita Hassanandani.
