Popular actress Pranitha Subhash hails Bengaluru Police for cancelling the show of standup comedian Munawar Faruqi’s show, slams the comedian for being Hinduphobic.
In a sudden turn of events, the Bengaluru police have denied permission to Munawar Faruqui's stand-up comedy show in the city on Sunday amid protest by the Hindu right wing outfits who alleged that the artist had hurt the Hindu sentiments in one of his shows.
Actress Pranitha Subhash took to her social media profile and tweeted, “When a person's words are packed with pejoratives against one community, it simply fails to qualify as art. It's balderdash. Worse, it's Hinduphobia. #WellDoneBengaluruPolice”
This is not the first time the show of Munawar are being cancelled, he has to cancel his dozen shows in last couple of months due to his scandalous joke about Hindu-Gods sparked a heated debate recently.
Pranitha Subhash is a popular name among Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films, she recently made her Hindi debut with Hungama 2 and Bhuj – The Pride Of India.
Earlier in June, actor Pranitha Subhash got married to businessman Nitin Raju in an intimate ceremony.
