Payal Ghosh made her bollywood debut with Patel ki Punjabi Shaadi. The film had an enigmatic cast with the late Rishi Kapoor ji, Paresh Rawal, Vir Das, and Payal Ghosh completing it. It was a joy and fun ride as we got to see the full repertoire of Payal Ghosh as an actor. She stood tall amongst a rich list of actors and we adored the film. The film completes 4 years today and it's definitely a nostalgic ride for our girl, Payal. She had a lot of fun and a bag full of memories from the movie.
We spoke to an emotional Payal as she spoke about Rishi Ji, her experience of the movie, and what it means to her. Here is how it goes, "Rishi sir got me on board for the movie and he was with me at each step. The sets would feel like home and he was so genuine, approachable, and understanding of me making a bollywood debut. It was a gallant time on set. Besides being a great actor, he was one of the nicest men. With Paresh sir, acting is easy. He makes it look so simple that you feel confident and perform at your best. I have a lifelong of memories from my bollywood debut. It was a special film and I am lucky to be part of it. I miss rishi sir today and I am sure he is with us in celebrities this movie. It's been auspicious. Love and light to everyone who showed so much love to the movie."
We get nostalgic whenever we think about the great man. It's a celebration of sorts of the movie and the Bollywood debut of one of the nicest girls around, our very own Payal the mesmerizing Ghosh.
