Actor Sidharth Malhotra pays a tribute to Late Captain Vikram Batra on his Birth Anniversary, pens a heart-touching note for Param Veer Chakra awardee.
Sidharth Malhotra played the role of Captain Vikram Batra in the film 'Shershaah, and on his birth anniversary pays a tribute to real life hero.
Sidharth took to his social media profile and shared a collage picture of Vikram Batra and wrote, “Dear Shershaah, They say that those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. And Captain Vikram Batra, you have touched our lives immensely with you valour, wisdom, charm & love for the nation. You will stay in our hearts forever...In your loving memory, Jai Hind. #Shershaah #VikramBatra”
The film Shershaah' is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who laid down his life in the service of the nation while recapturing Indian territories from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999.
Directed by Vishnu Varadhan, it also starred Kiara Advani, Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar and Pawan Chopra among many others acted in the hit war drama.
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra is currently busy with Mission Majnu, which also marks the Bollywood debut for south sensation Rashmika Mandanna.
Mission Majnu is a spy thriller film written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arrora and Sumit Batheja and directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta under the banners of RSVP Movies and Guilty By Association Media LLP.
