• On being a part of Aashram web series
" I started working on this show from Ayodhya 2020 and I would say 2020 did something good for me. The show I doing great TRP wise and the concept is also very good. The TRP rating was one of my main reasons to sign the show."
•Playing the negative lead, were there any inhibitions?
" Not really, there weren’t any inhibitions. I had already played negative in Bhaukaal S-2 dedha Kids Gangster . I always like to explore the grey shade. This is not totally negative character...."
• When did you realise you want to be an actor?
"During college, I did theatre for sometime and that’s when I realised I want to become an actor. I do miss being a part of theatre. In Lucknow , you just can’t only depend on theatre. I have bills to pay. In Lucknow , my parents are there, so it was easy to do theatre...."
• Every actor comes to Mumbai with Bollywood dreams, what was on your mind?
"Nothing was or is in my mind. I feel Bollywood dreams are just dreams. Every actor should know it about themselves that where do they belong or wish to belong. I knew this about myself. I think Bollywood is just a dream because I know I have a typical TV face. I am not saying I am not fit for Bollywood, but chances of getting work in TV is more."
• What impact do followers on social media have in an actor’s life? Does the count matter?
I didn’t feel it initially. As time passed, I have realised that number of followers do impact in an actor’s life to bag projects be it web or TV. From business point of view, it is good but it’s call of the producer. I fell prey to this thing. As an actor you need to be very active on social media and it’s a new business platform. As an actor, your shelf life is too less. I feel if you can earn money by posting good pictures and creative stuff and you are getting paid for it then why not? But still, I am not that much active. But I do have a team as I am not too comfortable with social media lingo.
