Filmmaker Kunal Kohli recently teased his fans by hinting about a new movie in the pipeline. The film is now titled Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story, starring Vardhan Puri and debutante Kaveri Kapur.
Late actor Amrish Puri’s grandson Vardhan Puri is paired with Kaveri Kapur, daughter of veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, the shooting has film has started in UK, the team will wrap the film in a start-to-finish shoot.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the deeds on the project, he shared, “KUNAL KOHLI STARTS NEW FILM WITH NEW PAIR... Director #KunalKohli commenced start-to-finish shoot of his new film #BobbyAurRishiKiLoveStory in #UK today... Introduces #KaveriKapur [daughter of #ShekharKapur and #SuchitraKrishnamoorthi] and #VardhanPuri [grandson of #AmrishPuri]”
The title of the film is a throwback to one of the more iconic romantic Hindi films, Bobby (1975), and also includes the name of its leading man, Rishi Kapoor.
Puri made his debut in 2019 with Yeh Saali Aashiqui. He has also signed on to play a key role in Vrinda Kher's The Last Show, with Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik.
Kaveri, a singer-songwriter, made her debut as a vocalist at 17. She recently collaborated with her father on a single, 'Smell Of The Rain'.
