Actor Rithvik Dhanjani and Jitendra Joshi praise Ekta Kapoor for her tenacity and faith to making Cartel despite Corona Pandemic.
Team Cartel hosted a press-conference and interacted with Newshelpline for the forthcoming web-series Cartel, which features Supriya Pathak, Tanuj Virwani, Jitendra Joshi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Pranati Rai Prakash, Divya Agarwal, Girija Oak Godbole, Amey Wagh, Monica Dogra among others.
Praising Ekta Kapoor for being the voice of faith amidst pandemic, while the team shot the series, Jitendra Joshi said, “When someone is making such a huge web-series, it has almost 14 episodes, and that someone is Ekta Kapoor, she has proved herself time and again in this field. She has carved an identity for herself and produced countless shows. This one is her dream project, and despite all the adversity, especially during Corona pandemic, she shot it, completed it without any hiccup”
Popular name on Tell soaps, Rithvik added, “At times we thought, you know this show isn’t happening, we were in lockdown due to corona pandemic, this is a huge problem, the corona lockdown went on for a year, a whole year when no one worked, and this show was half completed and we were stuck, most people would have backed out, but not Ekta Kapoor. She had faith in this script and the team, she has faith in actors, directors and everyone else, and she was hell bound on making this show and she has finally made a good show.”
Cartel is set against the backdrop of crime syndicate in Mumbai, tells a tale of crime family fighting a war against other gangs over turf.
Talking about the story line, Rithvik said the series is not about crime or underworld, it’s a story of three brothers. He said, “This is not a crime or underworld story, this is a story of a family. This is a story of three brothers and their love for each other, animosity and revenge for each other and their redemption, this is story written in blood about their obsession”
Balaji Telefilms show also features Vikram Kochhar, Vibhav Roy, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sanaya Pithawala, Mayur More, Mrinal Dutt, Krishna Kaul, Aditi Vasudev, Keval Dasani, Kannan Arunachalam, Sushrii Mishra, Anil George amongst the 137 other actors.
