Suriya Sivakumar just took to his social media and confirmed the Hindi remake of his super hit movie, Soorarai Pottru. Actor’s home banner 2D Entertainment and Abundantia Entertainment will be collaborating on the same.
Suriya took to his twitter profile and wrote, “Excited to announce our association with @Abundantia_Ent lead by @vikramix for #SooraraiPottru in Hindi, Directed by #SudhaKongara @CaptGopinath #Jyotika @rajsekarpandian @ShikhaaSharma03 @2D_ENTPVTLTD”
The film was partly inspired by events from the life of Air Deccan founder Capt. G.R. Gopinath.
The official handle of Abundantia Entertainment also confirmed the same. It said, “Thrilled and honoured to announce that we have joined hands with 2D Entertainment to remake the globally acclaimed #SooraraiPottru in Hindi. Extra special that Sudha Kongara, who directed the original, will helm the Hindi film as well! #PraiseTheBrave #SooraraiPottruInHindi”
Soorarai Pottru is an emotional and impactful story of Nedumaaran Rajanga,, played by Suriya, who sets out to make the common man fly and in the process takes on the world's most capital intensive industry with the help of his family, friends, and sheer will power.
The Hindi remake will be helmed by Sudha Kongara, who directed the Tamil version.
Apart from Suriya, the film also starred Paresh Rawal, Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi, Mohan Babu, and Karunas.
