Filmmaker Karan Johar announced his comeback movie, 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' starring actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and now the unveils the entire ensemble, which features veteran Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
Director Karan Johar just took to her social media profile and dropped a video post, confirming that Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi are part of the movie. He tweeted, “Meet the legendary stars of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. In the video, we hear voice of Ranveer Singh, who introduces his side of family, which includes Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan. Later in video, Alia Bhatt introduces her family, which includes Shabana Azmi.
The movie, which will release in 2022, is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy.
Karan's last directorial venture for the big screen was 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', which hit the theatres back in 2016. The movie starred actors Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan.
Apart from his directorial stints, the filmmaker also has a number of production ventures in the pipeline. He will be producing Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Sooryavanshi', along with Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's 'Brahmastra'.
Karan is also set to launch South sensation Vijay Deverakonda in Bollywood with 'Liger', which stars Ananya Panday as the leading lady.
