TANA has distributed over 700 Oxygen Concentrators

Hyderabad 12th June 2021: I have been watching the services and support activities offered by TANA for so many years and more so in the last 18 months in Covid crisis period. I personally know Mr. Jaya Sekhar Talluri, current TANA President as he belongs to Khammam District. I heard that TANA distributed Medical kits, Masks, Sanitizers earlier and also free food pockets, free provisions to needy people in both TS and AP States. Now TANA is distributing Oxygen Concentrators and Ventilators also to Hospitals and needy Organisations and NGOs. Govt of TS is also making lot of efforts in controlling covid on one side and promoting vaccination activity on other side. TS Govt is planning to invest Rs 10000 crores in the next two years in developing Health infrastructure. With a lot of appreciation, I am today participating in the distribution of Oxygen Concentrators. I appreciate and congratulate TANA for this ’ said Sri Ajay Kumar Puvvada, Minister for Transport , Govt of Telangana.

Sri Srinath Kurra, Trustee-TANA India explained that so far TANA has distributed over 700 Oxygen Concentrators in the last 4 weeks under the dynamic leadership of Sri Jay Talluri. Mr Srinath also explained that TANA Leadership very promptly reacted to Covid 2nd wave in April 2021 itself and identified immediate need of Oxygen concentrators for hospital use and domestic use. While one team was tirelessly contacting various suppliers and finding out the modalities, logistics and making arrangements, another team worked on contacting the Donors, appealing to TANA Members and raising money required and yet another team started identifying the needy places, organisations, hospitals and reviewing their bonafides for the support. Mr Jay Talluri and TANA Leadership has been continuously and parallelly doing all these tasks and the result is both Telugu States are receiving the Oxygen Concentrators work.

 

Srinath also said that TANA India team also continuously working even in Curfew time by receiving, unloding and loading the consignments, sending the Concentrators to Hospitals, Organisations like Red cross etc. He thanked Sri KT Rama Rao garu, Honble Minister for IT &C for giving the immense support in getting the consignments cleared at the airports in Delhi and Hyderabad and also be a Guide in this activity. Mr. Srinath Kurra also thanked the Officers like Mr. Jayeshrajan IAS, Mr. VC Sajjanar, Commissioner Cyberabad, Kurra Mahesh Director Alekya Homes, Narsimareddy MD TSIIC, etc have given the required support. He also thanked Chandra Rajeswara Rao Foundation, Manava Seva Foundation, Rotary Club of Hyderabad East, Cyberabada Commissionerate etc

Sri Chennuri Venkata Subba Row, Editor & Publisher if Telugu Times, who welcomed the Chief Guest and media in the beginning said ” TANA is the largest and biggest and oldest Telugu organization working outside Telugu States. A 45 years old organization spent over Rs 200 crores in over 40 years on various charity and community development activities. Only TANA has TANA Foundation India working sincerely and transparently for the last so many years. Only TANA India Foundation has FCRA ( Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) permit and TANA has been doing several activities for the last 19 months and Telugu Times published a 66 page eBook on TANA Services in Covid Times”
