Raghuram Rajan: Vaccine Unpreparedness a Devastating Failure of Govt, India Needs Vision to Recover [HD] (Video)

In an interview where he is frequently sharply critical of the Modi governments policies and behaviour, although without directly naming it, and where he also lays out his vision for Indias future and its economic recovery, Raghuram Rajan has said the lack of preparedness on vaccines is devastating. He called it a failure of government. Later in the interview, Dr. Rajan, a former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and now an internationally acclaimed Professor of Finance at Chicago University, spoke about what has gone wrong in India and articulated his personal vision for the countrys future. He said: We havent been doing well for some time and need to rethink our future going forward. What is the India we want? We need a new vision for India. He said a new vision will give the country confidence and restore its economic recovery to pre-pandemic levels but he asked where is the vision? At the end he said more than atmanirbhar we need atmavishwas. We need to believe in ourselves.
