After an intriguing teaser, the makers of Sherni are out with first official trailer of the film starring Vidya Balan as a forest officer.
Helmed by Amit Masurkar and written by Aastha Tiku, the film will stream on Amazon Prime India.
The official handle of Amazon Prime Video India dropped the trailer on social media. The caption read, “@vidya_balan is here to tell you what a #Sherni can do! #SherniTrailer out now. Meet #SherniOnPrime, June 18. #AmitMasurkar #BhushanKumar @vikramix @ShikhaaSharma03 @AasthaTiku @Abundantia_Ent @TSeries”
As a forest officer, Balan is assigned to hunt down a man-eater tigre, her team wants to shoot the wild beast but she try to find a balance in a hostile world where humans and animals live in harmony.
The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Neeraj Kabi, Ila Arun, Sharat Saxena, Brijendra Kala and others.
Though, the trailer depicts that it’s a tiger-hunt movie, but there are certain twist and turns along the way but one thing is certain that it’s another strong starring role for Vidya Balan, who has for years now been playing complicated, compelling written women with their own feelings and agency in her films unlike most female actors in Hindi cinema who do not have that luxury.
The film streams from 18th June only on Amazon Prime.
