Sonu Sood’s team, cops avert a major tragedy in Bengaluru hospital

Actor, producer, philanthropist Sonu Sood, the team at his NGO, and local cops turned saviors for nearly 30 COVID-19 patients with their timely response to the detection of an oxygen leak at a private hospital (Shreyas Hospital) in Bengaluru earlier this week. Sonu Sood's team rushed to the hospital with an adequate number of oxygen cylinders when the leak was detected and only an hour's supply of oxygen was remaining for the patients.

A doctor in the hospital, Samit Havinal, had immediately contacted a team member of Sonu Sood Foundation, Megha Chowdhury and a police helpline to avert the crisis. Sonu Sood's team was already at work in the hospital when the cops had arrived and the latter did their bit to arrange oxygen cylinders by contacting other hospitals and oxygen plants in the nearby area Peenya.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Reema Suvarna, and the hospital management had high words of praise for the team of Sonu Sood for their immediate response in a critical situation. Sonu Sood's selfless service during the second wave of the pandemic with his financial/medical assistance to patients across the country has yet again shown the generous side to the celebrity.
