Three days back actor Anupam Kher had announced on his social media account about his film 'Happy Birthday' getting nominated in the prestigious New York City International Film Festival. The actor finally gave the good news to his fans as he won the best actor award and the film won the best film award in NYCIFF.
Sharing the news, he wrote, "Extremely happy tohave won the prestigious #BestActor award at the #NYCIFF (New York International Film Festival) for my short film #HappyBirthday. Also thrilled that it got the #BestFilm award too! Thank you to the entire extremely talented unit especially @aahanakumra for their talent and support!! Jai Ho!!"
The film features Anupam Kher and Aahana Kumra in lead roles and has been directed by Prasad Kadam. Prior to this, Anupam and Aahana had worked together in the film 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.
Film Happy Birthday is a dark thriller which is produced by FNP Media.
On the work front, Anupam Kher will be next seen in Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' which is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990's. He will also be seen in 'The Last Show' and 'Mungilal Rocks'.
