NSUI chief meets J&K LG, discusses students' issues
Jammu, Feb 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) The president of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Neeraj Kundan, on Monday called on Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at his office and raised various issues regarding the demands of students, including 100 per cent job reservation for domiciles.

Kundan, in a written representation, addressed various issues of students and the problems faced by them and further pressed several demands like 100 per cent job reservation for domiciles of J&K, age relaxation for J&K aspirants of UPSC examination.

The NSUI leader also stressed on the need for improvement of the websites of JKSSB to provide easy access and more options to the applicants and speeding the recruitment process of JKSSB.

 

Kundan raised the issue of the need for proper placement and guidance cells for job applicants and state-sponsored free coaching institutes to make education available even to the poor for competitive exams and demanded more grants for employment generation programmes for the youth of J&K.

Kundan also drew the attention of the LG towards timely payment of scholarships and fellowships to the needy students.

He further demanded an increase in the seats of colleges and universities and also an increase in the size of hostels or construction of new hostels to increase their capacity to allow more students to avail this facility.
