Noted stand-up comedian Sunil Pal slammed the Tandav web series and called it a PR Gimmick, stating that it is planned move to get a reaction out of audience, political parties and religious group, there is something big is going on.
Talking to News Helpline in an all exclusive interview, Sunil Pal reacted on Tandav controversy. He said, “Look, I am too small to make any comment, but I think, there is bigger game afoot here. It is big planning with major player involved in it. Banning has become a trend, political parties and religious sector do it for limelight. Even the makers plan the whole gimmick of saying nasty stuff to provoke people, get attention. Everyone is doing it to get popular”
Saif Ail Khan starring Tandav web series on Amazon Prime Video has stirred up a hornets nest over allegations of ridiculing Hindu gods and Hinduism.
“Pre-planned gimmick, the whole thing is planned. Showing nudity, abuse, dark content, and what not, in film and series, is a trend to get limelight. I mean people are making fun of god and goddess, just to get popular” added Sunil.
Multiple FIRs have been filed against the series makers and Amazon Prime Video officials have been summoned by the I&B ministry in this regard.
