Actor Sonu Sood who will be seen playing the role of Chand Bardai in forthcoming period drama Prithviraj says that the shoot of the movie is complete and makers are eyeing favourable times to release the movie.
Sonu Sood was interacting with News Helpline on the side-lines of Cricfit Premiere League 2021 in Mumbai.
Helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films, the biopic based on King Prithviraj Chauhan, features Akshay Kumar as Chauhan while Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut by playing his love interest and beloved wife Sanyogita.
Talking about the film and his future projects, Sonu Sood said, “I got two movies in south, I am shooting for both of them, and one is releasing this month and second one will be out in some time. Prithviraj Chauhan movie is complete and makers are looking for more favourable time this year for release.”
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari in other important characters.
After winning accolades and appreciation for helping migrant works, students and patients through his philanthropic endeavours during lockdown and even today as well, Sonu also confirms that he is working on something in sports sector as well.
When asked about helping young aspiring under 19 cricketers in India, Sonu said, “Definitely, we’re already working on it. My friend, Nikhil have discussed so many times with me about doing something for young cricketers, and we are working on it, so that on a Pan India level, a platform can be created which guide the young cricketers. So we’re working towards it and hopefully we will make something useful for kids”
