ZEE5 Studios' Aafat-E-Ishq went down as Namit Das's first big project post the lockdown. After dedicating the year to diverse roles in 2020, the powerhouse performer took his game up by many notches by signing the upcoming digital venture that shall see him in yet another distinct role. Interestingly, the actor shared its first look and it is super gripping to say the least.
The first look has Das and actress Neha Sharma in retro getup and both are in the middle of a dance jig. Namit shared the first glimpse of the movie on his social media and in the caption space he wrote, “Atmaram has some killer moves! Stay tuned #AafatEIshq is coming soon! #ishqwillkill”
Says Namit, “Atmaram is one of the most strangest characters that I have played in my career. I don't want to reveal much but whatever has been disclosed so far includes that he has killer moves. These moves are enough to get Neha interested in him but now the question is whether this is love or friendship. It's an interesting look. He has something retro and playful about him. I thank director Indrajeet Natto ji who had me in his mind for this part. It takes the makers to have complete faith in you when they are casting, when they're allotting parts to actors. When people see a part like this they will also realise why the right casting is so important. It is one is of the most important factors of filmmaking. My director really stood by me. A big salute to him.”
Namit informs that the elements that make Aafat-E-Ishq intriguing are that it is packed with a strong narrative, amusing characters, mysterious events and an unexpected climax. The ZEE5 Studios production has a brilliant ensemble cast that includes (apart from Das) Ila Arun, Deepak Dobriyal, Pravessh Rana and Neha Sharma.
Aafat-E-Ishq based on the multiple award-winning Hungarian movie ‘Liza - The Fox Fairy’. On the work front, Namit has a slate full of exciting projects that are to be announced soon.
