Actor turned politician Sunny Deol slams the media reports stating that he has been provided with Y category security after supporting the Farmers Bill.
Sunny Deol, who happens to be a member of the ruling party in the country, has tweeted in support of the farm laws. While his tweets did not sit well with those protesting and he has been provided with Y category security, which is not true.
Sunny Deol just took to his social media profile and wrote two part tweet, which claims that he has been provided with the Y category security even before the protest started and media houses should be responsible with their reporting.
He wrote, “Since yesterday, there have been some inaccurate media reports that I have recently received Y Security. I have been provided this security since July 2020. An attempt has been made to link this security provision to the ongoing farmers' movement, which is wrong”
The second tweet read, “I request my media colleagues to verify the facts before publishing any news”
Earlier, Sunny Deol tweeted about supporting the farm bill. He shared, “I request the entire world that this matter remains between our farmers and the government. Do not interfere, because they will find a way after holding discussions. I know that many people want to take advantage of it and create problems. They are not thinking of the farmers and may have their own agenda.”
The recently introduced farm laws by the Government have been disapproved by the farmers of the country and most of them have taken to the streets for peaceful protests. A lot of celebrities have come in support of the farmers including Diljit Dosanjh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Zeeshan Ayyub to name a few.
