GHMC BJP || BJP Spectacular Win In GHMC ||
The results of 150 seats of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has now been declared. The Telangana Rashtriya Samiti has won 56 seats, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has won 43 seats and the Bharatiya Janata Party has recorded wins in 49 seats. The initial results show that the AIMIMcould emerge as a kingmaker as it looks unlikely for TRS to secure the magic number - 76.
Congress has won 2 seats so far and has been pushed pushed to the sidelines. The Telangana Pradesh Committee Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has resigned taking responsibility of the partys dismal performance. The results show that BJP has become the main challenger to the ruling TRS in Telangana. Union minister G Kishan Reddy has said that Telangana has paved the path for BJP in the state as citizens are growing tired of the TRS rule, news agency ANI reported.
