Actress and UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for India, Dia Mirza unveils Hari Phuljhari, addressing the issue of Fire Cracker Ban in Delhi.
‘Hari Phuljhari’ is a deep dive into the implementation of the Supreme Court’s orders regulating the manufacture and use of firecrackers. It explores how far the orders of the Court have been implemented and examine the systemic issues that hinder the same.
Dia Mirza dropped the documentary on her social media profile. She captioned it, “This documentary ‘Hari Phuljhari' by @Vidhi_India is so important to understand the #FirecrackerBan in Delhi. #DelhiAirPollution is a real problem but can be reversed if we take action! #SupremeCourt @yog_oke @debadityo @RiverbankStudio”
'Hari Phuljhari' is the first of five short documentaries, produced by Vidhi and Riverbank Studios, on key environmental issues in India. The other documentaries are titled An Unequal Fight, Ladenge Jeetenge, My Way or The Highway and Garbage Matters, they will out soon.
Dia Mirza is also part of forthcoming mega-movie, Wild Dog, an action thriller written and directed by debutant Ashishor Solomon.
The film also stars Nagarjuna, Saiyami Kher and Atul Kulkarni, the film is produced by Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy under Matinee Entertainment banner.
