Meanwhile on the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is busy with Ponniyin Selvan which is a forthcoming historical drama film written, directed and co-produced by Mani Ratnam.
The film stars Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi,Jayaram, Amitabh Bachchan, and Trisha in prominent roles, while Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu and Aishwarya Lekshmi appear in supporting roles.
The film's music was composed by A. R. Rahman, with cinematograhy handled by Ravi Varman, and editing done by A. Sreekar Prasad. It is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's historical period based fictional novel of the same name.
