Known for his nuanced performances, actor Gajraj Rao wraps up the shoot of his next movie, and pens a heartfelt post about working under “new normal” conditions and how he longs for good old Covid-free days.
Actor Gajraj Rao dropped an interesting picture on his social media profile, which shows a series of sanitizers and protective gear for Covid-19 pandemic. He wrote, “In the good ol' Covid-free days, you could just surrender yourself to the script and let it protect you through a shoot. Had to hire this mercenary army of sanitizers as well this time, and they did a pretty decent job I guess. Hope to not see them around next time though...Wrapped up a delightful shoot with my dear friend @bajpayee.manoj, and one of my most favourite directors @abhishekchaubey! Coming soon:)”
Actor Gajrao Rao and Manoj Bajpayee are part of critically acclaimed filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial which is part of an anthology titled X-Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts, the show will have two seasons full of thrills, twists and turns, and strong emotional cores.
Apart from Abhishek, filmmakers such as Vasan Bala (Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota), and Srijit Mukherji (Begum Jaan) have come on board to direct the anthology that covers diverse genres like romance, drama, satire, and humour.
The anthology is said to be more of a tribute to Satyajit Ray's remarkable treasure trove of short stories that an entire generation grew up on. Planned to mount on a massive scale, the show was earlier supposed to start production in March but couldn't hit the floors due to the sudden coronavirus-imposed nationwide lockdown. With shootings gradually starting everywhere, the filmmakers have now scheduled to shoot their shorts in November in a local studio in Mumbai!
