As BJP celebrates, senior leader says ‘real celebration is serving people’

New Delhi, Nov 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) With the numbers coming from the Bihar Assembly poll results favouring the Bharatiya Janata Party-led (BJP) Natinal Democratic Alliance (NDA), celebrations have begun at the BJP headquarters in the national capital.

The BJP supporters could be seen waving party flags and raising slogans in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the saffron party.

When asked about the party's plans to celebrate the lead and the expected victory in Bihar, BJP leader Sanjay Mayukh told IANS, "For us the biggest celebration would be to serve the people of the country again and again."

"We are sure that the BJP-led NDA alliance is the choice of the public and the trends are showing that too," he added.

The BJP supporters claimed that the NDA alliance has ended the "Jungle Raaj" and "Gunda Raaj" in Bihar.

The mood at the BJP headquarters was one of joy as the numbers started coming in favour of the NDA alliance.

BJP National President J.P. Nadda is expected to reach the headquarters once the final numbers are out, party sources said.

According to the current trends, BJP is leading on 77 seats and the JD(U) on 41 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading on 67 seats and the Indian National Congress on 18 seats.

The counting of votes for the 243-member Bihar Assembly began at 8 a.m. at 55 centres across 38 districts. In the Grand Alliance, RJD contested on 144 seats and the Congress on 70 seats.

The three Left parties fought in 29 constituencies: the CPI(ML) (Liberation) in 19 seats, and the CPI and CPI(M) in six and four seats, respectively.

In the NDA camp, the JD(U) and the BJP contested 122 and 121 seats, respectively. Out of that, JD(U) provided seven seats to HAM (S) while the BJP allocated 11 seats to the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) from its share.
