Andhra creates 56 BC welfare corporations for permanent solutions
Amaravati, Oct 16 (SocialNews.XYZ) Andhra Pradesh government has created 56 Backward Class (BC) welfare corporations, which will study the state of these communities to bring in permanent solutions to their neglected issues.

"On Sunday, the state government will appoint Directors to these corporations, offering 50 per cent reservations to women," said an official.

AP Rajaka Welfare and Development Corporation, AP Valmiki/Boya Welfare and Development Corporation, AP Yadava Welfare and Development Corporation are some of the 56 newly created corporation.

 

Corporations for other BC communities include Agnikula Kshatriya, Nagavamsam, Kurakula, Noor Basha, Dasari, Krishna Balija, Mudiraj, Kalinga Komati, Setti Balija and others.

To give representation to each district in every corporation, there will be 13 directors in each corporation, one each from every district of the southern state.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy interpreted BCs not as backward classes but as integral classes to the nation over millennia in its culture and history.

He said the state government has recognized BCs by offering seven ministerial berths, Assembly speaker and a deputy chief minister jobs to people coming from those communities.

Reddy said the welfare of backward classes is an important goal of his government.

According to the state government, 2.7 crore BC people have benefited Rs 33,500 crore from various welfare schemes in the past 16 months.
