One of the most controversial and celebrates filmmaker in India, Mira Nair turns a year older today and newbie Ishaan Khatter is nothing but good wishes for the veteran director.
The filmmaker is celebrating her 63rd birthday today. The prominent director is lauded around the world for her powerful portrayal of India and distinguished storytelling skills. Her films have time and again managed to move the audiences. Ishaan Khatter, who recently worked with her on A Suitable Boy, took to his Instagram handle to wish her a happy birthday.
Ishaan Khatter dropped a picture with Mira Nair from the sets of A Suitable Boy and wrote, “Happy birthday Mira di...May you always have the lust for life and extraordinary drive to tell stories. Picture two is me being mollycoddled by her after being mauled and tossed around for hours. All in service of the scene thankfully @pagliji”
A Suitable Boy is based on Vikram Seth's book of the same name, and premiered on BBC One on July 26 in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The series will soon launch in India.
Mira Nair is known for her brilliant cinema and has many awards to her credit. Some of her celebrated films are Salaam Bombay, Monsoon Wedding, The Namesake and Queen of Katwe.
