As per the latest grapevine, the non-theatrical rights of RRR have fetched in excess of Rs 200 crores(all languages). Apparently, Disney Hotstar has paid a whopping amount for the satellite and digital rights of the Rajamouli directorial.
Post its release, RRR will be made available for digital streaming on Disney Hotstar and will be telecasted on Star TV channels.
This is one of the biggest ever non-theatrical business recorded by any Indian film and speaks volumes about the buzz and anticipation around the project.
RRR is being mounted on a massive budget of Rs 400 crores. The film has Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. DVV Danayya is producing it.
