Miss World and debutante actress Manushi Chillar has kick-started the script reading session for the forthcoming historical drama Prithviraj. The actress was snapped at Yash Raj Studios and posed happily for the camera.
The film also stars Akshay Kumar, who recently wrapped Bell Bottom and now has his calendar clear for Prithviraj. The makers are having a table read for the second part of the script ahead of the commencement of shooting.
The actress will be the leading lady of the historical drama based on the life and heroism of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan.
The YRF big-budget entertainer features superstar Akshay Kumar in and as Prithviraj, and Manushi plays the role of the Sanyogita, the love of the king's life.
The historical action drama is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Aditya Chopra under his production house Yash Raj Films. It is about the life of the Chahamana Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan.
The film also stars Manav Vij, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Lalit Tiwari, Ajoy Chakrabarty, Deependra Singh, Govind Pandey and Nikkita Chadha in pivotal roles.
The film was scheduled to release in theatres in India on the occasion of Diwali in 2020 but the release has been postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
