         Vice President Pence and Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris will meet onstage at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on Oct. 7. Susan Page, the Washington bureau chief at USA Today, will moderate. 

Public health experts have expressed concern at the decision by both presidential campaigns and the debate commission to move ahead with in-person events less than a week after President Trump tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The first presidential debate resulted in at least 11 positive cases by people involved in preparations.
